Wilber Republican
The same year Wilber became the Saline county seat, a newspaper, The Opposition, moved from DeWitt. Various other newspapers, some in Czech, have been published over the years. The Wilber Republican has been the most important since 1887. It is published weekly on Wednesday.
The Czech Slavnosti (Celebration) is an eight-page paper, six issues a year, dedicated to Czech and Slovak heritage. Here you will find information about festivals, dances, history, current events in the Czech Republic, politics, genealogy and recipes. Some of it written in the Czech language.
