Feed Mill, Wilber

Feed Mill, Wilber

The Wilber Mill was established in 1873 and rebuilt in 1913. Wilber's economy has been agriculturally based with grain elevators, flour mills, a brewery, a sawmill, a stockyard and various meat markets. Land and opportunity brought Czechs to America and Nebraska. Huge farms, by European standards, were available by homesteading or buying land from the railroad. Anyone could get 80 or 160 acres.
